The other night Mike was dragging an unwilling Weston back to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Weston called out "DALLIN! SAVE ME!"
It made me laugh and then think, "I need to write this stuff down!" So here are a few updated Westonisms:
Weston listens to every word we say. When he hears a new word like "funky", he has to try it in every sentence he knows. Such as: Is that funky, mama? I want a funky, mama.
His speech is really improving. The other day we were sitting outside and Weston said "Look at the birdies up in the sky". Occasionally he will mix up his words while talking, but he will keep trying the sentence over until he gets it right. i.e. "Want put table dinner on the... want to put dinner on the table, mama".
Weston is finally day-time potty trained. Night time is hit and miss. When he flushes the toilet he announces "BYE-BYE POO POO". In the airport this past weekend, Mike took Weston with him to the potty. Weston went first and then the whole bathroom got a discourse about everything Mike did on the potty including a very proud "YOU DID A POO POO, DADDY!"
While driving in the car with Weston you get a free lesson on moving vehicles. This is a typical conversation coming from the back seat: (Note: Weston pronounces his 'L' with a 'W' sound) "*gasp* Wook, mama, a Fwatbed truck!! There's a TRACTOR, mama! A tanker truck! Go find another delivery truck, mama?" Recently I left him at home with daddy while I ran a few errands and I tried to point out the big school bus and I realized that driving without Weston is rather boring.
Weston skipped his "terrible twos" and is now testing his limits at 3 years old. His new favorite phrase is "NO I don't like to _______!" (insert: pick up my toys, put on my PJs, turn off the TV, take a nap, etc...) And for some strange reason, we are always able to get him to do something by saying "Okay, I will ask daddy to do it". Then Weston responds "NO! Weston do it!!"

What a cute boy you have.
My nephew used to run out of the bathroom yelling, "I did the big one, Daddy! I did the big one!"
Hopefully my brother doesn't have to take him to many public restrooms!
