Operation: NO SANTA was a complete success.
I have some issues with Santa:
1) MAMA does all the work finding the perfect gifts for her children and "Santa" gets all the credit!
2) I don't like the idea of my kids making "lists" for Santa. I want the emphasis to be more on giving gifts instead of "I want this, this and this".
The only reason I can think of to have kids believe in Santa is so mom can
A couple of days before Christmas we were in the grocery store and someone asked Weston who was coming to his house and bringing lots of presents and Weston said "GRANDMA AND GRANDPA"!!!
Grandpa is the exception to the "no santa" rule. He dresses like Santa every year and we got a picture of the boys with him.
I got Weston and Dallin the Little People Nativity early in the season and he has been playing with it every day. (Dallin just likes to chew on it.) He acts out everything including having the wise men ask "Can I see the baby?" It is so precious to me.
Christmas morning Weston asked to have the traditional waffles with cinnamon ice cream before opening presents (he regretted this later and I don't think we will be so lucky next year.)
One special memory for me was when Weston opened his present from Dallin (the movie"Up") and he gave Dallin a big hug. We got a good picture of it.

Grandpa John and Grandma Pat drove up and stayed with us for Christmas. They had a ball with the kids.
Weston got toys from "Cars", some Thomas the Train and lots of Curious George. He got some Little People to go with the sets he already had. He also got the LeapFrog Tag reading system and some books. Weston and Dallin got a roller coaster from Auntie Erin. Dallin got some PJs, a little onesie that said "I'm the little brother", lots of sign language books and DVDs and a Noah's ark playset.
This was our first Christmas spent at home. I loved the stress-free holiday with no worries about travel. I enjoyed being home so much, I may never travel for Christmas again!
